Isaiah 40: ¹⁸Who compares with God? Is anything like him? ¹⁹Is an idol at all like God? It is made of bronze with a thin layer of gold, and decorated with silver. ²⁰Or special wood may be chosen because it doesn't rot then skilled hands take care to make an idol that won't fall on its face. God Rules the Whole Earth ²¹Don't you know? Haven't you heard? Isn't it clear that God created the world? ²²God is the one who rules the whole earth, and we that live here are merely insects. He spread out the heavens like a curtain or an open tent. (CEV)

Isaiah 41: ⁴Who makes these things happen? Who controls human events? I do! I am the LORD. I was there at the beginning; I will be there at the end. (CEV)

Isaiah 42: ⁵I am the LORD God. I created the heavens like an open tent above. I made the earth and everything that grows on it. I am the source of life for all who live on this earth, so listen to what I say. (CEV))

Isaiah 45: ²²"I invite the whole world to turn to me and be saved. I alone am God! No others are real. (CEV)

Matthew 20: ²⁵..foreign rulers like to order their people around. And their great leaders have full power over everyone they rule. ²⁶But don't act like them. If you want to be great, you must be the servant of all the others. ...²⁸The Son of Man did not come to be a slave master, but a slave who will give his life to rescue many people. (CEV)

Matthew 24: ⁴⁶Servants are fortunate if their master comes and finds them doing their job. ⁴⁷You may be sure that a servant who is always faithful will be put in charge of everything the master owns. (CEV)

Galatians 5: ¹³My friends, you were chosen to be free. So don't use your freedom as an excuse to do anything you want. Use it as an opportunity to serve each other with love. (CEV)

Galatians 6: ^8...if you follow the Spirit, you will harvest eternal life. ⁹Don't get tired of helping others. You will be rewarded when the time is right, if you don't give up. ¹⁰We should help people whenever we can, especially if they are followers of the LORD. (CEV)

1. How does the fact that God created everything on earth make Him the owner of everything we see and have?
2. Why is it wrong for us to think that we can do anything we want with "our property"?
3. What should we do with the things and the money that God gives to us?
4. When we meet in groups how can we help each other to realize how much we owe to God and to others?
