    ¹²When you are set free, you will celebrate and travel home in peace. Mountains and hills will sing as you pass by,and trees will clap.¹³Cypress and myrtle trees will grow infields once covered by thorns. And then those trees will stand as a lastingwitness to the glory of the LORD. (CEV)

Isaiah 58: ⁵Do you think the LORD wants you to giveup eating and to act as humble as a bent-over bush?
    Or to dress in sackcloth and sit in ashes? Is thisreally what he wants on a day of worship?
    ⁶I'll tell you what it really means toworship the LORD. Remove the chains of prisoners who are chained unjustly.Free those who are abused! ⁷Share your food with everyone whois hungry; share your home with the poor and homeless. Give clothes tothose in need; don't turn away your relatives.
    ⁸Then your light will shine like thedawning sun, and you will quickly be healed. Your honesty will protectyou as you advance, and the glory of the LORD will defend you from behind.⁹ Whenyou beg the LORD for help, he will answer, "Here I am!" (CEV)

Isaiah 61: ¹⁰I celebrate and shout because of my LORD God. His saving power and justice are the very clothes I wear. They aremore beautiful than the jewelry worn by a bride or a groom. ¹¹TheLORD will bring about justice and praise in every nation on earth, likeflowers blooming in a garden. (CEV)

John 12: ²³Jesus said: The time has come for the Son of Man to be given his glory.²⁴I tell you for certain that agrain of wheat that falls on the ground will never be more than one grainunless it dies. But if it dies, it will produce lots of wheat.²⁵Ifyou love your life, you will lose it. If you give it up in this world,you will be given eternal life.²⁶If you serve me, you must gowith me. 2. Why will mountains sing and even people from foreign nations comerunning to worship and serve God?
3. How does God feel when His children are so filled with joy thatthey shout and sing because of His love?
4. When we are giving up our earthly lives for Jesus, what does a friendly group do to help us remain faithful?
