Matthew 6: ¹⁹Don't store up treasures on earth! Moths and rust can destroy them, and thieves can break in and steal them.²⁰ Instead,store up your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy them, and thieves cannot break in and steal them. ²¹Your heart will always be where your treasure is.
    ²²Your eyes are like a window for yourbody. When they are good, you have all the light you need. ²³Butwhen your eyes are bad, everything is dark. If the light inside you isdark, you surely are in the dark. (CEV)

Matthew 9: ¹⁷No one pours new wine into old wineskins. The wine would swell and burst the old skins. Then the wine would be lost, and the skins would be ruined. New wine must be put into new wineskins.Both the skins and the wine will then be safe. (CEV)

Mark 10: ⁴²But Jesus called the disciples togetherand said: You know that those foreigners who call themselves kings liketo order their people around. And their great leaders have full power overthe people they rule. ⁴³But don't act like them. If you wantto be great, you must be the servant of all the others. ⁴⁴Andif you want to be first, you must be everyone's slave.⁴⁵TheSon of Man did not come to be a slave master, but a slave who will givehis life to rescue many people. Acts 17: ¹¹The people in Berea were much nicer thanthose in Thessalonica, and they gladly accepted the message. Day afterday they studied the Scriptures to see if these things were true. ¹²Many of them put their faith in the LORD, including some important Greek women and several men. (CEV)

John 13: ³⁴But I am giving you a new command. Youmust love each other, just as I have loved you. ³⁵If you loveeach other, everyone will know that you are my disciples. (CEV)

John 1: ¹⁸No one has ever seen God. The only Son,who is truly God and is closest to the Father, has shown us what God islike. (CEV)
