A Big Question: Isn't It Wise to Hope In A Kind and Powerful God?

Job 17: 11My life is drawing to an end; hope hasdisappeared .12But all my friends can do is offer emptyhopes. 13 I could tell the world below to prepare me a bed. 14ThenI could greet the grave as my father and say to the worms, "Hello, motherand sisters!" 15But what kind of hope is that? 16Willit keep me company in the world of the dead? (CEV)

Job 19: 25I know that my Savior lives, and at theend he will stand on this earth. 26My flesh may be destroyed,yet from this body I will see God. 27Yes, I will see him formyself, and I long for that moment. (CEV)

Matthew 12: 21All nations will place their hope inhim. (CEV)

Matthew 19: 26Jesus looked straight at them and said, "There are some things that people cannot do, but God can do anything." (CEV)

Romans 2: 7He will give eternal life to everyone who has patiently done what is good in the hope of receiving glory, honor, and life that lasts forever. (CEV)

Romans 15: 13I pray that God, who gives hope, willbless you with complete happiness and peace because of your faith. Andmay the power of the Holy Spirit fill you with hope. (CEV)

Ephesians 1: 18My prayer is that light will flood your hearts and that you will understand the hope that was given toyou when God chose you. Then you will discover the glorious blessings thatwill be yours together with all of God's people.(CEV)

Colossians 1: 5...what you hope for is keptsafe for you in heaven. You first heard about this hope when you believedthe true message, which is the good news......  23But youmust stay deeply rooted and firm in your faith. You must not give up thehope you received when you heard the good news..... 27God didthis because he wanted you Gentiles to understand his wonderful and gloriousmystery. And the mystery is that Christ lives in you, and he is yourhope of sharing in God's glory. (CEV)
