Proverbs 3: 25So don't be afraid of sudden disasters or storms that strike those who are evil. 26You can be sure that the LORD will protect you from harm. (CEV)
James 1: 3You know that you learn to endure by having your faith tested. 4But you must learn to endure everything, so that you will be completely mature and not lacking in anything.(CEV)
Matthew 5: 45...He makes the sun rise on both good and bad people. And he sends rain for the ones who do right and for the ones who do wrong. (CEV)
2 Corinthians 4: 16We never give up. Our bodies are gradually dying, but we ourselves are being made stronger each day. 17These little troubles are getting us ready for an eternal glory that will make all our troubles seem like nothing. 18Things that are seen don't last forever, but things that are not seen are eternal. That's why we keep our minds on the things that cannot be seen. (CEV)
Romans 5: 3But that's not all! We gladly suffer, because we know that suffering helps us to endure. 4And endurance builds character, which gives us a hope (CEV)
Isaiah 43: 1....don't be afraid. I have rescued you. I have called you by name; now you belong to me. 2When you cross deep rivers, I will be with you, and you won't drown. When you walk through fire, you won't be burned or scorched by the flames.
Hebrews 12: 8God corrects all of his children, and if he doesn't correct you, then you don't really belong to him. 9Our earthly fathers correct us, and we still respect them. Isn't it even better to be given true life by letting our spiritual Father correct us? ... 11It is never fun to be corrected. In fact, at the time it is always painful. But if we learn to obey by being corrected, we will do right and live at peace. (CEV)
2 Corinthians 1: 4He comforts us when we are in trouble, so that we can share that same comfort with others in trouble. 5We share in the terrible sufferings of Christ, but also in the wonderful comfort he gives. 6We suffer in the hope that you will be comforted and saved. And because we are comforted, you will also be comforted, as you patiently endure suffering like ours.
