Matthew 19: 4Jesus answered, "Don't you know that in the beginning the Creator made a man and a woman? 5That's why a man leaves his father and mother and gets married. He becomes like one person with his wife. 6Then they are no longer two people, but one. And no one should separate a couple that God has joined together." Genesis 2:24  (CEV)

Matthew 15: 3Jesus answered: Why do you disobey God and follow your own teaching? 4Didn't God command you to respect your father and mother? Didn't he tell you to put to death all who curse their parents? (CEV)

1 Timothy 4: 12Don't let anyone make fun of you, just because you are young. Set an example for other followers by what you say and do, as well as by your love, faith, and purity. (CEV)

1 Corinthians 13: 11When we were children, we thought and reasoned as children do.  But when we grew up, we quit our childish ways. (CEV)

Luke 2: 48When his parents found him, they were amazed. His mother said, "Son, why have you done this to us? Your father and I have been very worried, and we have been searching for you!" 49Jesus answered, "Why did you have to look for me? Didn't you know that I would be in my Father's house?" (CEV)

Mark 10: 29Jesus told him: You can be sure that anyone who gives up home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or land for me and for the good news 30will be rewarded. In this world they will be given a hundred times as many houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and pieces of land, though they will also be mistreated. And in the world to come, they will have eternal life. (CEV)
