Luke 16: ¹⁰Anyone who can be trusted in little matters can also be trusted in important matters. But anyone who is dishonest in little matters will be dishonest in important matters. (CEV)

Jeremiah 17: ⁷But I will bless those who trust me. ⁸They will be like trees growing beside a stream trees with roots that reach down to the water, and with leaves that are always green. (CEV)

Psalm 1: ¹God blesses those people who refuse evil advice and won't follow sinners or join in sneering at God. ²Instead, the Law of the LORD makes them happy, and they think about it day and night. ³They are like trees growing beside a stream, trees that produce fruit in season and always have leaves. Those people succeed in everything they do. (CEV)

Psalm 119: ²You bless all of those who follow your commands from deep in their hearts ³and who never do wrong or turn from you. ⁴You have ordered us always to obey your teachings....
    ³²I am eager to learn all that you want me to do; help me to understand more and more....

Psalm 127: ¹Without the help of the LORD it is useless to build a home or to guard a city. ²It is useless to get up early and stay up late in order to earn a living. (CEV)

Psalms 139: ¹³You are the one who put me together inside my mother's body, ¹⁴and I praise you because of the wonderful way you created me. Everything you do is marvelous! (CEV)

Psalms 143: ¹⁰You are my God. Show me what you want me to do, and let your gentle Spirit lead me in the right path. (CEV)

1. Why has God given us life-giving information in a book we can read and understand?
2. What does it take on our part to enable God's Spirit to teach and guide us day by day?
3. How does giving God our time and our attention also lead us into pleasing Him?
4. When we expect Jesus to be our Savior how does He expect us to respond to His love?
5. Tell us how reading the Bible and discussing it with a family of believers has led to growth.
