Matthew 6: ²¹Your heart will always be where your treasure is. ²²Your eyes are like a window for your body. When they are good, you have all the light you need. ²³But when your eyes are bad, everything is dark. If the light inside you is dark, you surely are in the dark. (CEV)

Matthew 11: ²⁸If you are tired from carrying heavy burdens, come to me and I will give you rest. ²⁹Take the yoke I give you. Put it on your shoulders and learn from me. I am gentle and humble, and you will find rest.³⁰This yoke is easy to bear, and this burden is light. (CEV)

1. Why does God use food and drink in stories showing how important His Words are?
2. When we are wise, how does that show up in the things that we do with each other?
3. How does Jesus actually give us rest from carrying burdens when we learn from Him?
4. What are the ways that God helps us to understand His truth when it is higher than ours?
5. Explain Amos 8:11-12 where God promised to bring a shortage of His Message in the world.
