Genesis 1: ²⁴.... a man will leave his own father and mother. He marries a woman, and the two of them become like one person. ²⁵Although the man and his wife were both naked, they were not ashamed. Matthew 5: ²⁷You know the commandment which says, "Be faithful in marriage." ²⁸But I tell you that if you look at another woman and want her, you are already unfaithful in your thoughts. ²⁹If your right eye causes you to sin, poke it out and throw it away. It is better to lose one part of your body, than for your whole body to end up in hell. (CEV)
1. What makes our eyes & minds so vulnerable to looking at and thinking about evil scenes?

Luke 11: ³⁴.... When your eyes are good, you have all the light you need. But when your eyes are bad, everything is dark. ³⁵So be sure that your light isn't darkness. ³⁶If you have light, and nothing is dark, then light will be everywhere, as when a lamp shines brightly on you. (CEV)
2. How can we keep our eyes and hearts on what God says is important and avoid immorality?

1 Corinthians 6: ¹⁸Don't be immoral in matters of sex. That is a sin against your own body in a way that no other sin is. ¹⁹You surely know that your body is a temple where the Holy Spirit lives. The Spirit is in you and is a gift from God. You are no longer your own. ²⁰God paid a great price for you. So use your body to honor God. (CEV)
3. When we indulge ourselves in pornography, how is that a sin against our own bodies?

1 John 2: ¹⁵Don't love the world or anything that belongs to the world. If you love the world, you cannot love the Father. ¹⁶Our foolish pride comes from this world, and so do our selfish desires and our desire to have everything we see. None of this comes from the Father. ¹⁷The world and the desires it causes are disappearing. But if we obey God, we will live forever. (CEV)
4. Where can we get help for addictions, especially those that are immoral and destroy lives.

Ephesians 6: ¹⁰Finally, let the mighty strength of the Lord make you strong. ¹¹Put on all the armor that God gives, so you can defend yourself against the devil's tricks. ¹²We are not fighting against humans. We are fighting against forces and authorities and against rulers of darkness and powers in the spiritual world. ¹³So put on all the armor that God gives. Then when that evil day comes, you will be able to defend yourself. And when the battle is over, you will still be standing firm. ¹⁴Be ready! Let the truth be like a belt around your waist, and let God's justice protect you like armor. ¹⁵Your desire to tell the good news about peace should be like shoes on your feet. ¹⁶Let your faith be like a shield, and you will be able to stop all the flaming arrows of the evil one. ¹⁷Let God's saving power be like a helmet, and for a sword use God's message that comes from the Spirit. ¹⁸Never stop praying, especially for others. Always pray by the power of the Spirit. Stay alert and keep praying for God's people. (CEV)
