Ephesians 5: ¹⁵Act like people with good sense and not like fools. ¹⁶These are evil times, so make every minute count. ¹⁷Don't be stupid. Instead, find out what the Lord wants you to do. ¹⁸Don't destroy yourself by getting drunk, but let the Spirit fill your life. (CEV)
1. When we make the most of our time what will be our most important priorities?

Ephesians 2: ¹⁰God planned for us to do good things and to live as he has always wanted us to live. That's why he sent Christ to make us what we are. (CEV)
2. How does God want us to behave while we do good and try to live as He desires?

Ephesians 1: ¹⁸My prayer is that light will flood your hearts and that you will understand the hope that was given to you when God chose you. Then you will discover the glorious blessings that will be yours together with all of God's people. (CEV)
3. Describe some of the glorious blessings that God is giving to you as His child.

1 Peter 3: ¹⁵Honor Christ and let him be the Lord of your life. Colossians 3: ¹¹.... Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us. (CEV)
4. Why should we strive to honor Jesus and make Him all that matters in our lives?

Philippians 2: ¹⁵Then you will be the pure and innocent children of God. You live among people who are crooked and evil, but you must not do anything that they can say is wrong. Try to shine as lights among the people of this world... (CEV)
5. What are some things that will happen when we really do shine as lights among our neighbors?

Rom 8: ⁵People who are ruled by their desires think only of themselves. Everyone who is ruled by the Holy Spirit thinks about spiritual things. ⁶If our minds are ruled by our desires, we will die. But if our minds are ruled by the Spirit, we will have life and peace. ⁷Our desires fight against God, because they do not and cannot obey God's laws. ⁸If we follow our desires, we cannot please God. ⁹You are no longer ruled by your desires, but by God's Spirit, who lives in you.... (CEV)
6. How can we best learn to replace wrong desires with those that God's Spirit teaches us?

Romans 12: ²Don't be like the people of this world, but let God change the way you think. Then you will know how to do everything that is good and pleasing to him. 2 Peter 1: ⁴God made great and marvelous promises, so that his nature would become part of us. Then we could escape our evil desires and the corrupt influences of this world. 1 John 2: ¹⁵Don't love the world or anything that belongs to the world. If you love the world, you cannot love the Father. ¹⁶Our foolish pride comes from this world, and so do our selfish desires and our desire to have everything we see. None of this comes from the Father. (CEV)
7. When we practice meeting together to apply God's message to our lives, what happens?
