1. Describe whether or not these verses are teaching against having money. What are they for?

Acts 2: ⁴⁴And all the believers met together constantly and shared everything with each other, ⁴⁵selling their possessions and dividing with those in need. ⁴⁶They.... met in small groups in homes for Communion, and shared their meals with great joy and thankfulness... (TLB)
2. In what way is meeting together something spiritual or not?

1 Corinthians 12: ¹⁸But God has put all parts of our body together in the way that he decided is best. ¹⁹A body isn't really a body, unless there is more than one part. ²⁰It takes many parts to make a single body. ²¹That's why the eyes cannot say they don't need the hands. That's also why the head cannot say it doesn't need the feet.²²In fact, we cannot get along without the parts of the body that seem to be the weakest. ²³We take special care to dress up some parts of our bodies. We are modest about our personal parts,.....  ²⁷Together you are the body of Christ. Each one of you is part of his body. (CEV)
3. How can we think in terms of some being more important than others? How not?

James 5: ¹⁶If you have sinned, you should tell each other what you have done. Then you can pray for one another and be healed. The prayer of an innocent person is powerful, and it can help a lot.... ¹⁹My friends, if any followers have wandered away from the truth, you should try to lead them back. ²⁰If you turn sinners from the wrong way, you will save them from death, and many of their sins will be forgiven. (CEV)
4. What is the main point of verse 16?

Colossians 2: ⁶You have accepted Christ Jesus as your LORD. Now keep on following him. ⁷Plant your roots in Christ and let him be the foundation for your life. Be strong in your faith, just as you were taught. And be grateful. ⁸Don't let anyone fool you by using senseless arguments. (CEV)
5. What kind of comparisons are being made here?

Romans 12: ⁹Be sincere in your love for others. Hate everything that is evil and hold tight to everything that is good. ¹⁰Love each other as brothers and sisters and honor others more than you do yourself. ¹¹Never give up. Eagerly follow the Holy Spirit and serve the Lord. ¹²Let your hope make you glad.
