Hebrews 11: ⁶But without faith no one can please God. We must believe that God is real and that he rewards everyone who searches for him. (CEV)
Hebrews 11: ¹What is faith? It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot yet see. (NLT)
1. How did Abraham get faith in God, and how do we get faith?

Luke 6: ³⁸If you give to others, you will be given a full amount in return. It will be packed down, shaken together, and spilling over into your lap. The way you treat others is the way you will be treated. (CEV)
Matt 19: ²⁹All who have given up home or brothers and sisters or father and mother or children or land for me will be given a hundred times as much. They will also have eternal life. (CEV)
2. Describe how these experiences happen both in this life and in the life to come.

Matthew 25: ³⁴Then the king will say to those on his right, "My father has blessed you! Come and receive the kingdom that was prepared for you before the world was created. ³⁵When I was hungry, you gave me something to eat, and when I was thirsty, you gave me something to drink. When I was a stranger, you welcomed me, ³⁶and when I was naked, you gave me clothes to wear. When I was sick, you took care of me, and when I was in jail, you visited me." (CEV)
3. Tell of some ways that we can give of ourselves to others.

Luke 12: ⁴⁸.... If God has been generous with you, he will expect you to serve him well. But if he has been more than generous, he will expect you to serve him even better. (CEV)
1 Timothy 6: ¹⁸Instruct them to do as many good deeds as they can and to help everyone. Remind the rich to be generous and share what they have. (CEV)
4. Why do small group home bible studies enable us to help and serve others generously?

2 Corinthians 9: ⁷Each of you must make up your own mind about how much to give. But don't feel sorry that you must give and don't feel that you are forced to give. God loves people who love to give. (CEV)
5. What is you guide to giving?

Luke 5: ³¹Jesus .... spoke up, "Who needs a doctor: the healthy or the sick? ³²I'm here inviting outsiders, not insiders--an invitation to a changed life, changed inside and out." (MSG)
Mark 1: ¹⁷Jesus said to them, "Come with me! I will teach you how to bring in people instead of fish." (CEV)
Romans 12: ⁸If we can encourage others, we should encourage them. If we can give, we should be generous. If we are leaders, we should do our best. If we are good to others, we should do it cheerfully. (CEV)
6. How can we still give cheerfully even if disagree with how the money is spent or used?
